Savings Challenge Trackers
Pick a goal, save the amount listed each week, and check the box. The total column shows exactly where you should be, so you always know if you're on track. Every tracker adds up to its goal exactly.
Save the image to your phone or print it. A few things make these stick:
- Keep the money somewhere separate, ideally a high-yield savings account, so it earns interest and doesn't blend into spending money.
- Automate it on payday if you can. A transfer that happens on its own beats one you have to remember. See how to set up automatic savings.
- Missed a week? Don't restart. Split the missed amount across the next few weeks and keep going.
$10,000 in 52 Weeks
One year, about $192 a week. Weekly amounts range from $150 to $240 so it doesn't feel like the same grind every week, and the second half of the year mirrors the first.
$5,000 in 26 Weeks
The same pace as the $10,000 plan, $150 to $240 a week and about $192 on average, finished in six months. A good fit for a car down payment or a solid emergency fund.
Want a full year instead? The 52-week challenge that actually gets you to $5,000.
$2,500 in 26 Weeks
The $5,000 plan with every week cut in half, about $96 a week. Same shape, smaller commitment, and a good place to start if your budget is tight right now.
$1,000 in 10 Weeks
A starter emergency fund in about two and a half months, $80 to $120 a week. It's enough to cover most small surprises without reaching for a credit card.
More on why $1,000 comes first: the starter emergency fund.
$1,000 by Christmas
Save every Friday for 11 weeks, October 9 through December 18, 2026. Most weeks are $90 or $100, with a lighter $60 on Thanksgiving week. Christmas falls on a Friday this year, so you finish a week early.
These trackers are general savings plans, not personalized financial advice. If a weekly amount doesn't fit your budget, scale every row by the same percentage and the plan still works.
